Semi-off topic but sorta funny - my girl commented about my briefcase (a Jack Georges) the other day 'it's about time to get you a new briefcase, that one is starting to look used'  I responded 'What are you crazy?  It's JUST starting to look good!'

Though I would go with a Saddleback if I did get a new one!

Yes. Both pretty new, especially the tobacco one. I also have a natural Faler Brand one, and I switch between the three of them.

Here's my large Saddleback in Chestnut. Excuse the rubbish pictures!

Threw some stuff in to show the size:

Rear compartment: 13 inch MacBook, A4 folder, Midori Traveler's Notebook, trade paperback novel
Front compartment: iPad in Portenzo case, A5 notebook, wallet, A6 notebook, Swiss Army Penknife, wool jeep hat, copy of Personal Effects by Hiroshi Fujiwara (seemed appropriate).

Yes, but then when I bought it I don't think there was a choice. I've had it a five or six years at least.

Mine is suede lined also. I think that's all there was on the older bags

The suede looks great and probably feels great too, I imagine.  I wish the suede lining was an option on their backpacks.  Alas, not possible.

Just had another look and I think it must be suede. Never seen the alternative though, so I'm guessing that's what it is, as it's soft.

huh….  :-\ I guess from the looks of yours michaeljcr, mine is suede lined also.. (it looks the same inside) I'll take pics in the room and post later.... adding the suede lining wasn't an option when I bought mine also... I do have a large belt pouch and a medium which is lined, (but at home in the states currently) and it looks NOTHING like the inside of my briefcase (its a smooth leather). I just assumed my classic was unlined...

I've been obsessing on the USPS website to monitor the progress of the shipment. I freaking hate it when the thing seems stuck at some intermediate point for several days… Totally idiotic juvenilism, I know...

The USPS's tracking info is the worst. I almost feel like they shouldn't even offer it. They should just have a web page that reads, "It'll get there when it gets there."

Actually, mine has two different interior surfaces. The lining in the front and back compartments is different to the sides, which are unlined. So, the front lining could be pigskin, I honestly have no idea now! Never really gave it much thought before as it wasn't an option, so far as I remember.
