I have a policy never to ask people what their tattoos mean to them. I think it's super personal and something not often wished to share. That's my opinion though.

So, I'm assuming by the sour replies that I committed some kind of tattoo faux-pas by asking the question I did?
No Fauxpas imo, some have a meaning, some not.

If I didn't want to share, I wouldn't have. But indeed, if you're tattooed you hear that question a lot and can get bummed out by that.

Finished the red. Got the other one to finish then the line work for the rest of it begins. Probably won't do that until Fall 13. Not fully healed, skin feeling quite battered from the past few months work.

Go elclintor! Took me 2 years to get through my back piece. Was a true test of my will, was tough timing those healings. Outline took 8 hours in one sitting

Just scheduled my appointment to start on my chest this coming Tuesday. Looking forward to some new ink, but not looking forward to the pain. Shits gonna hurt….... :o

I haven't had one yet that didn't hurt like hell. Some are worse than others but there's no way in hell I'd ever fall asleep during a tattoo unless some serious drugs were involved. Still really excited about some new ink though.
