      The top heel is normal.  The second is lowered by a 1/4"

      as far as the kiltie goes, they call it a false tongue, so maybe its listed as that?  Regardless I said no thanks on it, and mine came with them anyway:)
      @Finn666:

      @emceeQ:

      I'm thinking burgundy may be the way to go…

      Although these natural bounty hunters look mighty fine…

      so both of these do have the "Standard" heel right?
      the natural cxl BH has no celastic toe box, so is this how all the boots without that detail gonna look?
      what's the advantage/disadvantage of that feature anyway?

      also, where can I find the option (on the Bakers page) to add a kilty? it's not showing…

              Figured out leathers and colours, but stuck on the single v. double sole issue. Are there any reasons why folks opt for one or the other, or actual practical reasons?

                IMO it's personal preference and mainly to balance the overall looks?

                  i do not want my sole (boots) to look too chunky so i´ll go with a single midsole…also i think that it´s a matter of comfort!
                  they´ll definitely break in easier!...

                      I actually think that these boots (Bounty Hunter's) should look chunky, but whilst all of the photos of single and double allow me to see the difference, it's still very difficult to appreciate how it actually looks in reality. I'm leaning more towards the double midsole, if for no other reason than it at least should provide some of the visual 'heft' that is lost when specifying these boots without the lugged Vibram 100 sole; I'm also opting for 8" height, so the single midsole might look unbalanced…..

                        My personal opinion is that Bounty Hunters should be squat, and chunky.

                            also true but looking at the ones posted a few pages back (the natural cxl pair, posted from emceeQ), I think that that's exactly what I want to own and wear for this contest and from now on on all my future boots purchases!
                            I'm not into that chunky a.k.a. armageddon kinda boots…but alas, to each his own 😉

                              When is the deadline for order entry with Bakers? I must have missed it elsewhere.

                                    …so one of these will be a part of my boots! Or two;)

                                      I've always wondered about the "oiled" leathers. I hope they're like a super heavy Chromexcel variant.
                                      I'll have the swatch book soon and I'll try to answer questions about each leather.
