and Finn, I always give everything a nice hot wash when I first get it, to make sure I get any/all shrinkage out right off the bat.

Side note, these did shrink a bit in the wash for those interested.  Not tons, but they shrunk down to my perfect fit...

The hem. I had them hemmed and thought the whiskers and combs would take up the rest. I was wrong. The wear is from me wearing them barefoot. Stack fine with sneakers/boots:

Zwer.  Check that there isn't any multilayer denim "edge" inside of the pants that rubs and causes the hole.

I have cut a piece off from all of my pairs in the fly. Noticed that there is a multilayer denim-edge that rubs from the inside, and I noticed it from the outside.

hmmm.. now that I look again, that's not the spot I meant, nevermind…

As soon as it warms up mine are going in the wash. I can't bear to be without them now that it's -15 with the wind. Maybe I'll wait until Superbowl Sunday. I don't need pants for Superbowl.
