Oh, another quick question: ihs come with pretty apparent and great roping. has anybody encountered that a new hemjob leads to less roping?

There has not been.  I know of no plans to do so, but the IH-634S-GR are amazingly close in concept…

I love mine, but think I would have liked them better if they were the same denim as the IH-634S-GR.  The grey that these fade to is a very high contrast to the black in the friction areas, but almost no vertical fading at all.  That said, the fit and feel of these are awesome.

It's nothing too exciting just yet; mostly belt loops, pocket edges, where my wallet chain rubs, and the crotch/seat.  You can see the color pretty well your pictures.

I just got my IH-555-03 in a size 36.  The cut on these feels very similar to my 7301's and 301's.  The denim is very stiff.  I did some comparison measurements.  My 7301's are a year old with two washes.  I wear them about once a week.

I absolutely love the cut, although they are really long for me. At some point I would like to have them hemmed. Where would be the best place in Osaka (or Japan) to have it done properly?

Hey Giles, can you explain how the 555 cut differs from the 666. According to the measurements, the thigh of the 666 is .9 inches smaller than the 555. Is that correct? I'm thinking about getting a pair of 555s or 666s once you have them in size 28.

In simplistic terms the they are narrower all the way down.  I wear a 666 with ease, the 555 not possible, thighs far too tight for me….

Thanks Giles. That's what I assumed. Are the measurements wrong then? 11 inch thigh on size 29 doesn't seem that tight to me. I have the 301s and I'm hoping to get something slimmer in the top block for my next pair. I'm leaning towards the 555 in 18oz indigo.
