A 38 in the MBB's will give the snuggest thigh fit, though not skin tight.
Thanks for the info. Which model of nudies do you think the MBB best compare to? What about the IH-634-XHS (I was thinking these were the closest to average joes)? Thanks again.
I had a pair of Average Joe's way-back-when and, from memory, the cut was slightly roomier than the Beatle Buster in the top block but broadly comparable in terms of taper below the knee. Rise was definitely a fair bit lower on the Nudies though. The weight and quality of denim makes them hang completely differently though, regardless of any similarity cut-wise.
I should add that I haven't owned or tried on the classic IH 634 cut, so my only reference in terms of your question is the BB.
Good info. Thanks. Im pretty hesitant to go for the MBBs because Im afraid they will be too tight. I think I am going to go with the IH 634 when they come in.
With regards to the contest, if I purchase these jeans in the next two weeks, am I supposed to hang on to them until April before I can wear them? That way everybody starts at the same time, right?

DBH less than 30 wears before the comp starts is the key.
CLJ well, we are having a "Jawnsass" (Jackass) theme, so I guess you could incorporate killing…or certainly near death.

When the denim settles, and they are hemmed, they will be perfect I think. The 25oz denim is nowhere near as painful as the 23oz either, which was a nice surprise.

Should get all the in shape/work out folks to do a GORUCK CHALLENGE. . . hell even the folks that don't work out as it is all about team work. that would be some entertaining stuff.
Great job all the behind the curtain folks, this is shaping up rather nicely, now to find the motivation to wear the same denim for 2 years.
*** i am mr. slow&steadyfade, but with this marathon pace i really think everyone has a chance at having a great time on this

i think i did 36 but i can't recall. i'm scared to death of 25 oz crushed nuts.
part of my motivation to get the bb world tours is to see how the size 34 work & if a 35 would be a realistic option.
*got 36 in BB RAWS & BB SBG & they are really different, SBG feel much fuller

I'm a bit drunk ATM and really thinking about pre-ordering these (just because I think one needs to own these)!…
going to check the measurements now...we'll see!had the IHxB01 in 34 but couldn't do the last two buttons back then...so a 35-36 wouldn't be that bad to go with, IF!

no drunk ordering. go hang out with that pretty blond you hang out with. last Friday of 2012, i figure you young folks would be partying it up. i'm sitting here bored while tuesday & my in-laws try to drink all the booZe in my house.

Here's some drunk advice: there is no need to fear the 25oz if you get the right size. Having worn both the 666 and the 666-XHS for a couple of months I can say that the 25oz is totally comfortable if you get the right size. It's heavy, but not painful.
At about 6 weeks in, there will come a moment where you look up and say, 'oh'. That's when you know the break in has started. After that, alles gut.
