JSJ (or anyone who can help)-  I know this is an amateur question – so I apologize ahead of time -- but how did you configure those customization options?  You can't build something like that in their "Custom Boot Builder."  I am assuming you just contacted Viberg directly, but, even so, how did you know what was at your disposal?  Was it purely picture research?  Beautiful build by the way.

I ordered the boondockers build like the StyleForum group was trying to do. They had the same build in my size already made, with brown thread instead of white, which I actually preferred. Since they didn't have to go through the factory he hooked me up a little. The normal price on them is $665.

Seanococ, I did some picture research and emailed Jason directly at inquiries@workboot.com he was super helpful, but you have to have patience. These guys were a local boot shop in BC that have now exploded internationally, which means they are always in the weeds. If you give them time, they can get you properly sorted.

JSJ- Thank you for the info.  As you can tell, I'm new to all of this and your time and effort is much appreciated.  Your incoming boots would make any one of us very happy I think.  Congrats.

Natehate-  Appreciate your input as well.  I think I saw a post – probably yours -- of that Brown Harness on a Hiker.  Unreal.  Just too many great choices.  On one hand, you can't go wrong; on the other hand, I feel like you'll always wonder if you made the right choice.

I will be in Seattle for New Years.  A 2 1/2 hour drive to Vancouver may be in order.  Thanks again fellas.

Yeah I'd head up there if its an option for sure ! See leathers we haven't even seen yet. I know Brett's working on some new stuff to so seeing it in person would be cool as fuck

^It would be awesome to see what they have in development.  I'm really going to do my best to make the trip.  If anything, just to check out the sizing.  I've read several times that they run large.  I like my footwear snug so I always size down one anyway, but sizing down two is downright dangerous on this kind of purchase.  Yep, typing that just confirmed it for me:  I have to go.

Yeah they do run uk sizing. Me I have off sized feet. 13 in most things 14 in some. But viberg I can go 12 or maybe 12.5 so yeah try em out if you can

Not my post of brown harness hikers. Never got into the hiking boot look. Not my style . But the leather in person is beautiful !!!

Hey Sean - if I'm not mistaken Viberg is in Victoria, and I think you can take a ferry direct to Vancouver Island from Washington State. Save yourself some time. Though I used to be able to do the drive from the border to Tower Records in the University district in just under an hour…

Yep. Just confirmed both. Here's your link to the ferry:

Nate- Thanks, that's good to know.  I have similar sizing issues.

Zwer-  You're the man.  I appreciate that link.  I actually have taken that ferry before.  It's beautiful in the summer.  I'll be sure to pack my rain gear this time though.
