Yet another sad chapter in the sad history of the city…

Haha, I was a graduate student at Drexel University, and my office/lab just happened to move there during my last year.

And this is obviously a stupid move…though not unexpected.

So… I walk to my store to buy some cheese and add BUSH PRESTIGE to my beer selection (by scanning the bottle I emptied yesterday  )... I pass this guy who's obviously majorly pissed off... I come back from the store, and enter my hood... Same guy is YELLING at TOP VOLUME... "JAAAAMESSSOOOOOONNN.... I'M COMING FOR YOU!..." Over and over again... He goes to the other side and does the same... Apparently looking for this fella named Jameson... I hear someone from the hood shout at him to shut the fuck and get the fuck out... It worked, I guess... Or he's gone hoarse...

I'm gonna miss this place...

So we're out picking out a Christmas tree, and the man in the lot asks "what did you have in mind?"

Jody: "honey, you choose"

Me: "I like the one from A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Jody and the salesman: "…"

Jody: "We'll go with that one over there" Points at a ten foot tree

Sounds like when we were looking for a pianist for our wedding and I asked one if she could play the imperial March from Star Wars.

The first dance at our wedding reception was to "She's No Lady (She's My Wife)" by Lyle Lovett.  I'm rather proud of getting that one.  Probably my last win for the next 7 years (and counting).

Wine degustation at my local… Best store since he's so down to earth, just passionated about wine... He's always wearing the same sweater, and always is both scratching his balls, and his nose... On top of that he seriously has the best products, good prices, and is massively knowledgeable and helpful... Didn't go home empty-handed...
