Ok, dumb question: are the IHJ-05's made in Japan?

One thing for sure – this Cordura jacket simply seems indestructible. Frighteningly rip-stop strong.

Saw these beauties along with the Super Black Rider Jacket at Self Edge  🙂
The sizing is definitely larger for the IHJ-05 compared to the early windbreaker version.
I liked how the "Small" fit gave a more trim look (I wear L for early version).
The outer texture is way thicker, waterproof and this jacket will last a lifetime.  Very nice!

OK, dumb question #2: Where are the sleeves measured from? Is the top where a regular shoulder seam would be, or is it at the collar like the last windbreakers( if my memory is correct)?

No, not dumb, I agnoised for oh, seconds, trying to work out what best to do.  I  tried to do it to where a "normal" sleeve would finish.  Would you like me to also measure to the centre of the collar?

From where the shoulder would be makes more sense to me.

…that's my email.  I'm looking forward to the new addition.  The jacket's just leaving the hub from across the pond so it'll be a week or so and I will post pics.

                                            Yeah, that's me, I'm new here…Hello.

I ordered a large in grey a few days ago.  It's due tentatively here on the 5th.  I'm a little concerned about sleeve length since I'm 5'11 but I take a long in a few brands so It'll probably be close enough.  At 205 Lbs I think it will work with a layer.  I'm in Texas and can usually get buy with a good shell and a fleece most of the winter and this design gives me a lot of room that I like.

Off the top of my head, without seeing it, the only thing I suspect that would make it better is the liner.  The liner will wear out before the condura--that stuff is really tough stuff and heavy.  I have a full riding suit in grey condura and that stuff is insanely tough stuff.  It's hard to understand this unless you've actually felt the material. I think the IH condura would be ideal with a cotton drill or something similar that you'd get in a leather jacket.

I'm guessing I'll love it.  I'm very basic and functional with what I wear so IH's line appeals to me a lot.  I think this jacket's just plain tough looking and super understated.  Good for a tumble or two if required.

                                            RIP, Geo
