Waxed suede looks badass. If you can get that effect with obernauf's, I say do it up.  The Visvim Serras from this past fall are waxed suede and they look sick.

Here is a suede or roughout boot that has had multiple treatments of snoseal (dubbin) in case anyone was curious

I'm looking for a product that will darken natural leather , giving it more depth and a darker stronger look than natural ..
Here is the boot in their natural state ..

and this is the look I want to achieve ..

what product can you recommend to achieve this much darker look ?

Obenauf's leather oil will do the trick.

I love my obernaufs, but they are always darkening my leathers, and that's something i'm starting to not like. what cleaners and oils are there that will still keep the same shade of the leather? and what's a good polish to use?

I've had good results with Lexol for cleaning. If I'm wanting to be fancy, I use Allen Edmonds paste to polish, although I've always had good results with good ole Kiwi.

I use Bick 4 on all my leather stuff and it works pretty well.  Not sure how easily available it is outside the US, though.

This is sorta unrelated, but i was wondering what everyone suggests for a decent winter weather boot/shoe that looks closer to a sneaker and can be obtained quickly for under a hundred bucks 😛

Going on vacation for a couple weeks to Mass soon (22nd) and all i have are old skate shoes at this point… i bought a pair of New Balance H710 and don't like the way they feel when i walk in them (and they're not exactly water resistant eh) so i'm returning them... then i looked at the Nike Mogan Mid OSM and thought they looked ok but then started reading reviews and people complained about the seam that connects the tongue to the shoe seriously hurting their feet. Pass. Grrr.

                            Any suggestions?

I'm a fan of Palladium boots.  They have a few styles that are waterproof, look sort of sneaker-like, and aren't too tough to find.  I also think they're really comfortable, with little to no break in required.  When I went to NYC back in October, I made a poor choice on which boots to wear and ended up blistered on the first day there.  I found a store, bought a pair of the Pampa boots and wore them for the next 4 days straight.

                                ^ Some quick suggestions:

                                1.) Nike ACG Manta Leather $90 -

                                http://www.eastbay.com/product/model:166563/sku:54350003/nike-acg-manoa-leather-mens/all-black/black/?cm=GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH#sku=54350003

                                2.) Nike ACG Dunk High $120 -

                                http://www.eastbay.com/product/model:185661/sku:36182001/nike-acg-dunk-high-mens/all-black/black/?cm=GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH#sku=36182001

3.) Nike ACG Lunar Brataa Mid $80 -

                                http://www.eastbay.com/product/model:184913/sku:36526003/nike-acg-lunar-braata-mid-mens/black/light-green/?cm=GLOBAL%20SEARCH%3A%20KEYWORD%20SEARCH#sku=36526001

*I personally don't own any of these models, but I think the ACG line is some of Nike's best stuff.  Option #3 has basically everything you are looking for, and although there aren't any reviews, I can attest that lunarlon is VERY comfortable.  Plus, you could get the pair + tax and 3-day shipping for $100.  Just my two cents.

                                    Thanks guys!

Holy crap Chris i really like those Palladium i think they're perfect… thanks!

How do they fit? True to size? I wear 8.5 to 9 in shoes depending on the brand (7.5 to 8 in most actual boots)

*I went ahead and bought the Baggy Leather Gusset in Charcoal from Amazon ... going by the sizing info on there and other reviews these things should fit TTS like regular shoes and not boots so i'm hoping they work out. After doing a bit of research i've read that the company sold out to KSwiss a few years back and QC has supposedly gone downhill...? hopefully they at least last the two week trip haha

My GF saw them and had me get the Tactical model for her in Black. I was considering those as well but i'm hoping for snow while we're there and i figured the Gussets would work better for that.

Never heard of it. Is it made in the UK?

I switched from Obenaufs LP to Pecards boot oil and love it.
