How do you like the wool base layers?  According to their website the fabric is 191 g/m or about 6.15 oz/yard…. seems kinda light for the price.  The filson lightweight longjohns are $75 and made with 10.2oz merino wool but they are imported.  I think rambouillet have very similar wool (or basically the same) to merino sheep

Red Wing chukkas 3142 (roughout), used, 35 €. Sometimes eBay kicks ass… So they have some stains... If I work in them for one day they'll probably look even worse so who cares... Toss in a new inlay sole and we're good to go I say!..

I checked this guy's profile… He has sold TONS and TONS of Red Wings (different models)... He told me he wore these sporadically for a year... With all the footwear he has bought and sold, he probs wore them infrequently... So I'm confident I'll get a lot of wear out of them... Even if a resole is in need anywhere soon, that only costs like 30 € here... All good...

Frost, I'm addicted to BestMade. I have two axes, multiple knives, and right now I'm covered up in their blanket (I own both) reading a book from their winter collection. I know they're a bit over priced, but I don't care. I love that they have such a well curated shop. Congrats on the purchase, I think you'll love them.
