I currently have an issue with a package I shipped to a very trusted forum member (no names mentioned on my behalf), I was a couple of days late shipping due to work commitments, so I paid extra for a tracked service to get to him faster. The package was shipped on the 16th,  tracking says the package was delivered on the 20th, but he doesn't have it, neither do his neighbours, or his house mates, on occasions like this, tracked services aren't worth shit.

Mate, you don't know the half of it. If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at the moment  😠

But fuck it, some things have gone tits up, others are going ok, shit balances out in the end.

This is the first time I used registered mail but I normally use Priority Flat Rate. I've compared rates and its usually cheaper or the same price to send priority. I know. Weird.

I don't think it's really an issue with trusting the receiver, it's more just covering your ass if you can. And I'm more referring to the delivery confirmation option in the US in that regard.

Working?  Like actual, honest to God, real work?  Why the hell is she doing that while you two are supposed to be on vacation?  What is wrong with that woman?

You feckers keep on emailing her and even worse, ordering stuff.

This may sound trite, but the only way we can relax is knowing we are on top of work.

When we are travelling, Paula looks at every order that comes in, see's if there is anything stacked for the same person, checks emails to see if there are any changes to the order (yes, guess what, about 20% of the time people change the size/colour/model after placing the order).  She then aggregates that info and goes into the actual online order and updates it with instructions for the poor sods who are left back at base fulfilling orders.  Then when they have shipped, they update the order status and Paula sends out shipping confirmations.

Oh and to keep this thread on a properly ranty path, I have an HTC Thunderbolt that is pushing two years old.  It has always had shamefully poor battery life, but now the battery is dying.  I am now lucky to get 20 minutes of use before it shuts off.  The replacement battery I ordered last week needs to get here soon.

I always figure this is a ridiculously hectic time for shippers.  Mail guy showed up at 5:30 PM last week.  That almost never happens.  Plus, I will always get one package on a Sunday this time a year.

At least know that the people you are delivering to appreciate it!

That sounds like a tough gig.  Please stay safe out there.  It's a crazy time on the roads.
