Called them immediately and raised fucking hell. They said the home base where the trucks go was closed and that was the only way to reach the driver.

He definitely did not even try.

I had a similar issue a couple weeks ago. The nice lady as CS explained to me that they get "seasonal employees" this time of the year and they're not as good

Got something through FedEx home delivery a while back and it was brought to me by a dude driving an ordinary pickup truck, wearing ankle length "shorts" and a football jersey.  I thought it was odd, but it makes sense now; obviously one of those independent contractors.

If I had the option to pick anything else I would have. I have another package coming Wednesday through Fedex as well.

Looks like I might need to set up a chair on the sidewalk all fucking day Monday and Wednesday.

It's "FedEx Home Delivery," and I don't see the option for it.

My Wednesday package has options for holding at a Fedex shipping place about a 45min commute away, though.

Yeah that is not the experience I had.
Also, when I was on the phone the CS lady said that "Home Delivery" service is not usually done on Mondays but since it's the holiday season they ship on Mondays.

Who the fuck doesn't ship on Mondays? Such a lame ass company.

FedEx and UPS both can eat a dick. USPS is the best. I've NEVER had an issue, however it can be pricey sometimes. Now, let the berating begin…..

No berate, but is a personal thing.  I find UPS to be far superior in sending/tracking/just about everything to EMS, which in US is handled by USPS.  And believe me, I probably have more experience of shipping stuff internationally than virtually anyone I know.

I'll agree with international, but for USA domestic, USPS is fine. But I get the Int'l gig, fer shure.
