IH-2527J - Brown Cotton Duck Riders Jacket
-
Ever see the character Two Face from the Batman movies? It looks like that. I'll take a pic of the whole thing when I get back from the gym. It just looks really bizarre right now
I'm actually more pissed at myself because it was a coat that took FOREVER to break in to the way I liked it. I should have known better to toss it in the washing machine like that, especially after I got a couple weird fades on my 634SR in the machine.

Ohh….Oops. I hear ya buddy. Well, I guess we've all learned a lesson at your expense. But to be honest, I've thrown all my IH shit in the washing machine and never had a problem...of course I don't own cotton duck. Maybe you shouldn't do that with cotton duck.

This jacket will probably be relegated to be a workout jacket, especially since my 15 year old stepson wants to learn Kali…soon it'll be covered in sweat, spit, blood, dirt and grass...and since he's six foot tall and 220lbs, it'll probably be mine....
There you go. Who knows, DougNg, after all that spit, blood and dirt…that jacket just may emerge as one hell of an evo trick...a work of art !

I gotta figure out if the finish on the jacket can be fixed. I might just trade it for a couple of cheap sweatshirts if I'm just going to trash it in training anyway. I'm not showing up in public wearing a jacket that looks like this. I look like half of me was in a construction area and the other half was standing outside
Normally, I'd be down for random fades, so long as it's got a good story behind it, but I kinda feel like a jerk wearing my favorite jacket that was caught in a freak washing machine accident

The material was nice and soft by the time I washed it, and it was flipped inside out
I used a top loading washer, cold water, a couple tablespoons of Woolite Dark, gentle cycle, inside out, and even presoaked it in water first to get it wet and soft first before the agitator started
I'll post up more pics shortly

I still cannot believe you put that in the washing machine… I hope you do not ever use that thing again with any of your denim!

I have not had a chance to speak to DougNg about this. But I sent the images to Haraki. This is his response (through Ayumi):
"That looks like a fade when you machine wash without letting material wet enough.
Haraki San can ask factory to overdye the jacket but dyeing in same brown colour is impossible. Black is possible, but you will get fade slightly during dyeing process anyway. Harakisan has a sample in almost same dye so he will send you the photo upon his return to Tokyo(in Okayama now). If he likes the result, Haraki san can overdye the jacket for him. "
