Our Cars (dream or actual)

Nate, you'll never look back.
JSJ, us down-south boys call that a swamp buggy. That one is an International Scout with the body pulled off and an 8 foot platform. It had a dog box (redneck for kennel) and gun racks for hog hunting. Loads of fun, but my Dad was hotter than a tater-totter when we got it stuck that hard, haha.
-
Down South??? I thought you lived in Northern California?!?!
-
Nate, I hear ya. I got lucky and made money on mine because it was still so new when I sold it. Think about it this way, though: getting 40 mpg on a bike will help pay off whatever loss you take pretty quickly.
JSJ, I'm South Florida born and bred. The Coast Guard moved me out to CA a little over 5 years ago. I'm out in 3 days and on my way to Colorado next.

Central Florida born here. You from Little Cuba or a redneck town?
-
I still regret selling my bike. Nate, be careful, once you get one, nothing will ever replace the way it feels. It's like my heart skips a beat just thinking about it. The smell of riding through the country at dusk.
In Oklahoma, when you're 14 you can buy a motorcycle. When dad told me I could get one if I could raise the money. I worked 2 jobs, illegally, and saved up $5K. I put 30K miles on that little Suzuki GN125 in about a year and a half!!! There's a bunch of work/life changes coming in the near future, and as soon as the dust settles, it'll be one of the first things I do.

Redneck town. Stuart, just a bit North of West Palm Beach. My childhood was properly filled with lifted trucks, swamp buggies, airboats, hog hunting, Real Tree overalls, and Sonny's BBQ.
Here's a few more rides from back in the day:

Disregard the missing wheel… that was my fault, too, haha.
A friend's rig I helped build

Nice. Sounds about right. I miss muddin.
I lived about 30mins below the Green Swamp in Lakeland.Damn, I miss Sonny's Sweet Sauce so much. Anytime I have a friend coming up(live in NYC now) I have them bring me a few bottles.

And for everybody outside the Sunshine State, if ya don't know, now ya know.
-
oh man… Sonny's is the best BBQ ever. had it in Gainesville a couple of years ago. that sliced pork...
-
Didn't realize Sonny's was from Florida. I used to eat it all the time growing up in Charlotte. They do make a pretty respectable pork bbq.
-
This was parked outside of my tent a few days ago. I thought it was pretty wicked… What make is it???
It's a russian UAZ. We still have loads of those in the army. Absolute worthless pieces of crap.

@Jii:
Discoveries are totally ok too :). Regarding the parking pic above, parking spaces in the city center have decreased by about 60-70% thanks to the copious amounts of snow we've gotten in the last two weeks. No shortage for 4x4 parking spaces though..
This means that when you're living in a big city here, you'll need a 4x4.
We country boys get by with Minis (whose bottom is constantly scraping snow which is accumulated between tire tracks)
