I'm actually most tempted by a pair of Hikers right now, particularly in a build along the lines of what Viberg did for Chucs Dive & Mountain Shop, which have a square toe and Portland sole.

These look nice too, but I'm not convinced by the ripple sole on a walking boot.

I swear, if their hiker's were waterproof, I'd have already spent the money on a pair. I might even consider risking wet feet for those Chuc's. Thanks for that pic, Graeme.

They're old-fashioned walking boots with the uppers sewn from a single piece of leather. I suspect that they'll be reasonably waterproof, but I wouldn't want to go wading around in rivers in them.

I have unchristian thoughts about something like the Chuc build in the heavy Horween waxed leather.
