I'm sure it's frustrating, RP, but I'm willing to cut the USPS some slack.  Who knows what's going on in the NYC facility these days.  After the hurricane, there's no telling what sort of mess there is between damage, backlogged packages, relief goods, short staffing, holiday increases in volume and so forth.

Chris- I agree with you (and I think there was a holiday in there as well).  It does look a little like the Keystone Kops, though.

P and I are trialling a new shipping company, TNT.  Over the next month or so we will be sending the odd package via TNT and then asking for feedback.

TNT works well to Australia, from past experiences….

There are pluses and minuses.

Shipping to Europe is more than with UPS, but is faster.  US looks better.  One of the problems with UPS is that there are large ares that are "out of area".  When this happens we get hit with a USD20 uplift on shipping.  I am sure there are similar issues with TNT, hence the trialling.

And The TNT/UPS merger is expected to get ratified soon anyway…..
