Watches - another OCD problem

Urb, that Maratac looks absolutely stunning, I couldn't believe the price when I saw it. No wonder it's moving fast! Perfect on those zulus/natos!
What d'you think of this'un?..
I had a sister model of that one for a while, it was a a really nice watch for the money. The bracelet is comfy but it's a hollow link number so it's a bit flimsy feeling. The 5:s are never made in Japan, mainly in Singapore. The movement is a true and tested workhorse, not the most accurate but very reliable. You're looking at about +/- 10-15 seconds a day accuracies, which I think are fairly good - good enough even if you care about that sort of thing. In the sub 100€ range I'd definitely go for that one if it's what you're looking for lookswise.
It's a bit tricky if you want a non-diver automatic with a sapphire crystal in the sub 200-300€ range with a good quality bracelet. And there's a reason why "better" bracelets cost what they cost, solid links and precision engineering comes with a price tag.

Sapphire, blue dial, no bullshit, 85 quid. What am I missing… I can live with a shitty bracelet... Made in Singapore?.. Excellent, no objections to that at all!..

Also only 35mm, which is a tad small by modern day standards. Personally, I prefer them in the 42-44mm range. Like Jii said, that's a personal preference thing, though. Otherwise, it looks good to me.

Hardlex is just Seiko's " brand name" for a mineral crystal. Nowhere near as scratch resitant as sapphire, and sadly not polishable either so you can't get the scratches out. That being said, I've had two watches with mineral crystals and I haven't gotten any noticeable scratches in them….

Someone was able to put on a steel bracelet on this'un, although they had to fiddle with it… Pretty sure that shouldn't be left to me...
Also staring at old Omega Seamasters…
But neither have steel bracelets (obv some later Seamaster models have), and neither are big enough (34 mm is too small, as you pointed out Chris; my Weil is 42 mm and I don't think I wanna go under 38 ).

I was able to scratch my Explorer crystal on a patient bed in the ICU. Luckily it's not all that noticeable so I'll avoid eating the cost of a new crystal for now.
Edited to add: Those Seiko cocktail watches are really cool and Seiya is the way to go for those hard to get Japanese domestics IMO. -
