Hey, it's not his fault you're stubby.

P.S.- I heard that alcohol stunts your growth.  Just thought I'd mention it.  No reason, really…

Does IH make all their products from locally sourced (i.e. made in Japan) materials (e.g. shirting fabric, rivets, zippers, thread, buttons, belt buckles, leather for tags, wallets and belts, etc etc.) ?  The question is not applicable to the denim fabric since that's made in Japan.

Thanks Zwer. I am aware of that FAQ page. However, my question was not about where they are made.

What provides better waterproofing for leather: Mustang paste or Obenaufs?

For most leathers the difference is probably negligible as seen in the link above.  You should use mustang paste on shell cordovan or other really tightly grained leathers.  Obenaufs will not penetrate shell cordovan.

Don't let the price of mustang paste fool you.  Obenauf's is a good quality product.  Horse oil has very similar properties to human oils.  It has the highest permeability (very fine oil, this is what makes it great for leather protection) of all oils on human skin (probably besides human oils, unobtainable unless you have serious cash) making it a desired beauty product for girls and girly men (demand).

I'm going to New Orleans next Friday for a few days. I'll probably be spending a lot of time alone - wife's at a conference. Recommendations that don't involve swamps or graveyards?
