Any chance of the 1955 or some variation of it returning to production? As someone with large thighs, most of the styles are cut too slim, and it would be nice to have another option.

            Possibly - thinking about it

Or SBG type III with contrast stitching…

I like this idea a lot.

here´s just a little improvement i´d like to speak out on:

what about adding a " … " (really don´t know how the fekk to call this! 😠 ) to all the future restocks and new product versions of (denim) jackets?!

like seen in the pic above the " … " allows you to hang your jacket onto everything you want to. it´s a feature i really miss on denim jackets in particular.
i really would love to hang my duck type III onto a coathook when i take it off without me always having to use a fekking hanger or that i need to throw it over the chair or something like that the whole time...

would be fekking perfect if this feature would make it onto the new type III Giles has in mind - or every other jacket from now on - ... just saying 😉

I would call it stitching a belt loop onto the neck of the jacket. And a big hell yeah.

So putting your luxuriously expensive jacket on a hanger is too difficult/inconvenient/annoying?  I hope the IH crew can help you with that.  Who has time for details anymore, right?

Solid idea, Finn.  Might be nice on the shirts, too.

I've heard it called a laundry loop, but I don't know if that's the only/correct name.

I don't bring hangers everywhere I go and restaurants, offices, and other places where such a thing could be needed don't always have them either. It is a minimal and unobtrusive change that adds function. Also, it isn't really that big a deal to add your own if so inclined.

its a tough one, if you use a chain (which raffa was referring to) it will create less marks in the back than a hook, which is a no no, as hooks are the enemy to any jacket.  Maybe you could mod the jacket with rivets and piece of chain through the leather patch in the neck, this chain could hang between the patch and the jacket.  Or just hang the jacket on a hook using the leather patch?  Lord knows it can take it.

if you don't like the idea, don't comment on it…glad H. and G. are a bit more open minded to "new" ideas!

might be a tad too much to ask for for adding it to shirts as well but on (denim & duck) jackets it really would be a nice feature that adds comfort.
"laundry loop" sounds about right to me…thanks mate 😉
