Beatle, I'm 37 and the waist is 32-33. I hope it will still be there at 40. But America and age wasn't good to me. 🙂

Stewart, congrats. That's a real accomplishment. At age 21 I was wearing 28/29. Skinny guy. I need to get down to 31-32 for my good suits to fit me well again. I can get in and I can close them now. I can even breathe. 🙂 But I can't say they fit me well. I could let them out a little bit probably but I like the goal.

How many wears you got on your 634SR, btw?

If I move back to Europe I think I will be easily able to stay in shape.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I will actually spend a good part of the summer in Europe. Still to hot for my IH stuff, I think. And I like to travel light. I actually have a decent second wardrobe in Berlin. That makes it easier. But from there I take many small trips and on those I pack super light.

I keep a pocketknife in the right back pocket of my 634SRs. It's about a four and a half inch handle, and the pivot end of the handle is always rubbing against the top seam of the back pocket liner. A little while ago, the top seam separated from the back pocket

Funny thing is, I mentioned that to my mom on Sunday dinner, she finds some matching thread and a low gauge needle, and fixed it right up!

                    Yay for moms!!!

                    Just wanted to share

Kudos, DougNg´s mom ! The last time I gave mine a pair of Eternals which had a hole in the back pocket…she cut the frayed denim off...ever since I do it myself+

The grass ain't greener on the other side. I do aspire for a ridiculously heavy-as-fuck pair of unsanforized  jeans (no interest in the upcoming 35-oz though)

What exactly are these upcoming 35 oz. jeans of which you speak? New IH model?

They are a heavy flannel lined 634S.  So 21oz selvedge plus aprox 13/14oz for the flannel.

Got mine wet in sea during my holidays and they went super stiff on drying….I love the extreme nature of these jeans.

They'll eventually break in. Been wearing mine for nearly six weeks now straight, on top of the two or three months I wore them in the Fall/Winter and they're finally not standing on their own anymore…

However, they still make a lot of fucking noise!!!

Really?  I'm in Austin too…surprised so many people are into IH in a place that is bordering on too warm for most of their stuff 6 months out of the year.
