Because there have been a few questions surrounding the 3 similar yet different IH OD Type III's, I thought this might help with any confusion about what makes each different.

SExIH07BKIII [OG] - Modified/ Overdyed Type III w/ Pockets. Diesel Patch. SExIH Collab came out in 2009 with the SExIH07BK and Indigo Jeans. Unsanforized 19oz Selvedge - Garment Dyed w/ Black Fugitive Pigment Dye.

SExIH07BKIII [Long] - Modified/ Overdyed Type III w/ Pockets. Diesel Patch. Extra 2 inches in length. Came out in 2011 (I think). Unsanforized 19oz Selvedge - Garment Dyed w/ Black Fugitive Pigment Dye.

IH-526Jod - Regular Type III Overdyed. No Pockets. No special Patch. 21oz Selvedge Indigo given the OD Treatment.

Wore as much as the weather would allow anyway. We had quite a hot summer this year and it was mostly shorts and tanks

This jacket is so dope. I'm trying to pick up the one in B&S, but definitely don't want this too small. If I'm a normal medium (comfy fit) could I do a 38 or is that asking for trouble?

grandmasterben, I also usually take 38 in IH jackets but went for 40 in this.  I tried on both 38 and 40 in SENY and the main issue with the 38 was that the sleeves felt short.  The 40 is a bit big on me if I wear just a t-shirt underneath but works perfectly with another layer.  hope that is helpful.

I second the rec for 40, but qualify that saying I've only had the original, not the later modified/long version

im a 42 and i had a 46 that was a bit big, a 44 would have been perfect, it was the OG not the 2 inch longer version

Thanks dude! Yeah it seriously is. By far the most intense garment of any kind that I've felt. This is next-level robust. I really dig the fit too, especially the pockets and extra 2". Love it!

I'm glad IH is making these and other classic jacket models with extra length. The shorter cuts can be tough to wear.

Most def man. If you are even kinda tall the type III's are tough to wear (i find anyway). I really wish a few of the other T3s were made long, especially the brown duck
