G&P Hit The East Coast - October 2012

237 years late, but we are here now…
USS Constitution, it may be an all American ship, but the guns were made in good ol' Blighty. Interestingly enough, when we wer on HMS Warrior (our first steel clad warship) recently, I was chatting to one of the crew - and he said all but one of the cannons on board were reproduction, the originals being sold to the USA during the American civil war…
Duck interest
G furling a mainsail - not very well it has to be said…
I need a new door stop for the office but Paula forbad me stealing this one…
Ancient and modern (ish). Oak seasoning in the foreground & WWII destroyer in the back ground (it has fantastic dent in it's bow, testament to a bad parking incident)…
I'm a man of simple tastes - WANT….
Fantastic headstone
P gets up close and personal with a 8 pounder

MikeC and Scroogen picked us up from Boston and we headed up to Vermont, can't remember te name of this river, but we caught the fall colours at just about ace time
Stopped at this Vermont deli to buy lunch
Then, as it had started to rain, we hit a covered bridge to eat it under (Not sure if we were in Madison County, but I did keep a look out for Clint and Meryl…no luck)
I drank this
With my clam chowder and these - (not Jalapeno flavoured chips, actually made from Jalapenos - OH YEAH)
And then it was on to the hotel, so Mike could get his fix(es)
Last night we went out for dinner with MikeC, Scroogen, OHenry & OHenrys better half, sadly I took no pics….
