          Welcome to New England. Eat more seafood in Beantown, it's some of the best. Looking forward to Monday.

            great start right there…and happy to see you guys arrived overseas safe and sound!

            @Giles:

            Someone, please educate me about these copper clad facades…

            the most buildings around that spot where built at the end of the 19th century. the cooper sheathings are some sort of architectural details built with/by pretty skilled craftsmen, cuz the details suggested that, so most of them were Italians and/or other immigrants with highly refined skills!  which is why Boston is the most European of American cities…

                    Haha plenty of time to get one in NY.  You may never get back to Boston.  You don't know what you're missing!

                          You're being ripped off everywhere if P isn't cutting that with a cheap $30 trimmer at the castle.

                            I normally do it myself exactly that way, did not have time before we left….Bloody deliveries and feckin customers getting in the way of personal grooming.  I did manage a shave this morning.....

                                    Many thanks, Rafa.  The architecture and history here in Boston is great.  After we visited USS Constitution this morning we walked a lot of the Freedom Trail - we’ve had an interesting and educational day so far.  But wanted to stop to check email so had to come to a bar and drink local beer (all part of the cultural experience).  My Sam Adams lager is hitting the spot.  Next stop Legal Seafood for lunch  🙂

                                      And the aquarium will have to wait until next visit.  Lunch got liquid and pre-dinner-post flight-what-time-zone-are-we-on-? nap was chosen instead…

                                        237 years late, but we are here now…

                                        USS Constitution, it may be an all American ship, but the guns were made in good ol' Blighty.  Interestingly enough, when we wer on HMS Warrior (our first steel clad warship) recently, I was chatting to one of the crew - and he said all but one of the cannons on board were reproduction, the originals being sold to the USA during the American civil war…

                                        Duck interest

                                        G furling a mainsail - not very well it has to be said…

                                        I need a new door stop for the office but Paula forbad me stealing this one…

                                        Ancient and modern (ish).  Oak seasoning in the foreground & WWII destroyer in the back ground (it has fantastic dent in it's bow, testament to a bad parking incident)…

                                        I'm a man of simple tastes - WANT….
