A woman named Manuela Hernandez is listed at that address. Probably Hugo's mom.

I could not find a telephone number but perhaps you could send her a letter by post.

Dr Pat,
Thank you very much.

Tried looking up the address's property owner to hopefully get more information but no hit since it looks like it's rented or part of a community. (http://gisims2.miamidade.gov/myhome/propmap.asp)

Giles, I'm shocked and feel very bad for you. Here's my advice…do not be so generous unless you "personally know" the buyer -- i.e. they are active on forums, particularly the IH forum. That's the rule I'd make. Next time such a prospective buyer comes up, ask him to join the IH forum so that you and the community can get to know him or her. While I admire your generosity, G., I'm sorry -- I'm not that way at all. I know better. You must run a business after all. You must feed yourself and your household after all. For instance, what you did for Simon626-LA is awesome (monthly payment plan for IH 634S shipped first)...but we all know him. Simon-LA seems to be too sweet and honest a soul to ever pull a sham, but if he did...LandoCal would drive to LA and beat the shit out of him (Just kidding). The thing is, among friends -- dishonesty and cheating is much harder to execute. Unless you are a total sociopath, we all have a conscience -- a moral barometer if you will. Peer pressure (i.e. friends on forums) keep you in check even when other stimuli fail to do so. Do not be so generous in the future G., unless the person is an active member of forums.

I have some news. I kept this on the down-low til now because the deal wasn't final. But I resigned from my job today (gave 2 weeks notice) and will start a new one on Thursday April 8th. The new company I'm going to is founded by brilliant people (alumni from The University of California, Berkeley). It's young, fresh and a startup (only 25 people). Easy street is OVER ! NO really…I feel privileged to be hired by this company -- I'm gonna be rubbing elbows with major talent -- incredibly, fantastically smart people. Why did I leave my current gig, even though I'm well loved and respected by all ? Cuz I wanted more challenge, stress and excitement in my life. Call me nuts, but that's Shubha. I'm a risk taker, and I personally believe that unless you regularly take yourself out of your comfort zone -- you will never genuinely experience intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth.

Thanks Shubz, but as someone said above, once in 6 years aint bad. But I will modify my behaviour going forward. I have just emailed him and told him that if he doesn't contact me today, his Mom will be getting a letter telling her what he di…G
Good strategy G.. Hope it works ! One bad apple in 6 years ain't bad but remember, the IH Community is growing by leaps and bounds. You may have to tighten up a bit – stick to my advice G. -- know the person through forums first.

Congrats Shubs!!! You will do great things. I respect you for your risk taking more than you know!

Make sure you request a signature upon delivery so the kid doesn't pick it out of the mailbox before his mom gets home from work.

Yep, and i was going to have one of my mates mail it from the US so iut was not obviously from me. G
G, you should have some bikers show up to his house and pull up on his mom's lawn wearing all SuperBlack Vests. Videotape the whole thing as an Iron Heart Commercial/ Warning!

You can also examine the IP addresses he used to login to the forum and send his emails (examine the email header).
Use nslookup to translate the IP into a domain name.
http://www.zoneedit.com/lookup.html
Type the IP address into the Reverse Lookup IP box. The domain name should appear under "Value"This should tell you if the IP belongs to a university network or comes directly from an ISP. If the IP is not valid use traceroute to find a computer upstream and then use nslookup again.
On windows: type cmd in the run box
At the prompt: tracert IPOn a mac: open a terminal
At the prompt: traceroute IP -
This kid has no chance!
