Otherwise if he ordered it but it wasn't sent out yet and he hasn't paid yet, no harm no foul. He may have just been busy with other stuff.

Yes , hid did - Michel wanted the jeans really bad but didn´t have the funds - so he asked Giles to send them out - and he would send the money on payday…Giles being nice and whatnot agreed - and now some guy in Miami is walking around in a pair of 634-s without having paid for them,

As you know, I banned a user yesterday. the fist that we have banned. Of course I am paying for my own stupidity, because I shipped the stuff before payment. See his email to be below. But, I do send stuff out on trust a lot and this is the first time in 6 years, I've been stiffed, and I take it personally. He has not responded to email or PM's since getting the jeans…G

I bought my motorbike from a dude in US, £11k, only to find when at port to be shipped to UK, the dealer had pocketed the money and there was a debt against it…took me 18months to resolve.....load of scumbags out there...one hit and run in 6 years aint a reflection on your principles and values....keep up the good work fella !!!!!

This Shall Not Stand!!! I am so sorry Giles. It is a shame that this happened to you but I cannot say that I am surprised. For the most part people are good and honest, but there are quite a few who cause everyone else to look bad. I would totally agree with tfar in regards to it being too soon to start name calling etc, except the time line seems not to be in his favor. I am sure Giles gave him sufficient time to respond.
We must all look for these on Ebay, Superfuture, Style Forum, and others to male sure he is not trying to resell them!

Giles, I'm shocked and feel very bad for you. Here's my advice…do not be so generous unless you "personally know" the buyer -- i.e. they are active on forums, particularly the IH forum. That's the rule I'd make. Next time such a prospective buyer comes up, ask him to join the IH forum so that you and the community can get to know him or her. While I admire your generosity, G., I'm sorry -- I'm not that way at all. I know better. You must run a business after all. You must feed yourself and your household after all. For instance, what you did for Simon626-LA is awesome (monthly payment plan for IH 634S shipped first)...but we all know him. Simon-LA seems to be too sweet and honest a soul to ever pull a sham, but if he did...LandoCal would drive to LA and beat the shit out of him (Just kidding). The thing is, among friends -- dishonesty and cheating is much harder to execute. Unless you are a total sociopath, we all have a conscience -- a moral barometer if you will. Peer pressure (i.e. friends on forums) keep you in check even when other stimuli fail to do so. Do not be so generous in the future G., unless the person is an active member of forums.

I have some news. I kept this on the down-low til now because the deal wasn't final. But I resigned from my job today (gave 2 weeks notice) and will start a new one on Thursday April 8th. The new company I'm going to is founded by brilliant people (alumni from The University of California, Berkeley). It's young, fresh and a startup (only 25 people). Easy street is OVER ! NO really…I feel privileged to be hired by this company -- I'm gonna be rubbing elbows with major talent -- incredibly, fantastically smart people. Why did I leave my current gig, even though I'm well loved and respected by all ? Cuz I wanted more challenge, stress and excitement in my life. Call me nuts, but that's Shubha. I'm a risk taker, and I personally believe that unless you regularly take yourself out of your comfort zone -- you will never genuinely experience intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth.
