White's Boots

In the wet it could be a hazard though, even on pavements
Don't ask me though, I wear boots that turn an already tall dude into something looking like one of the aliens from Avatar

Ha! I'm already 6'8" - I really don't need the help
me neither, but if you want to look at all options, a no-rubber version is also to be considered. That will only look good in proportion, if you order at least a double leather sole. as long as we are talking about lace-to-toe anyhow, as the regular cut looks a lot less beefy.

Btw. I have seen Vibram Montagna or Kletterlift on a pair of White's a while ago, which seemed like a good alternative to the 100.

Whites wanted me to MAIL actual pieces of PAPER to them so I'm going through Bakers instead.
LOL that sounds pretty primitive…

They can't have you scan & email the foot tracings? That's what Viberg does with customers that are unsure of the correct sizing.

Huh, that does sounds a bit… 20th century. Guess you get old school logistics to go with your old school boot construction.
EDIT: hectic, I actually knew a last maker that was working on a system like that. You plugged in your various measurements into his website, picked a last style, (e.g., Munson last) and then the program modeled a custom last in 3D and CNC'd it for you. I'll have to see if I can find that website again.
