naw, I dont think so Finn.  I actually really like the toe box on whites.  Its very roomy and nice, no crunch at all.

I prefer the Whites toe too, I find the Viberg one a little delicate for my taste.

those were my words in the Viberg thread exactly.  Its too streamlined.  Too sleek.  For my tastes that it.  They are fine boots though, although the price they charge for some of their products is insulting.

evo on the whites after 3 and a half years and 1 resole

            Amazing!

I have these being made at the mo, I loved Ed's so much….

                  Red dog and distressed leather.

i have that same exact "issue" with the right shoe as you do.  Hows your fit? (…)

The fit in mine is fine. It is slightly narrower than the various other 9E-boots I have from White's, but still good and within acceptable variety. I am also fine with the tongue and can't feel the laces cutting through. I do feel the seam of the tongue, but that also isn't a problem. As for the slight imbalance, I measured it up and the tip of the wing on the outside of the right shoe is 5mm higher on the shoe, the inner is exactly symmetric with the left inner. I guess they align those and then just sew the upper leather bit on.

btw. for reference, this is what I would consider a comparable setup from Viberg:

Same here! Those actually started my obsession with White's and I also got the same setup, only with a Vibram 100R sole and only one midsole, since I use them in the snow.

Silly question my Whites SD in black dress leather seem as if when scuffed they are showing brown?  Same is happening to my IHB-02. Is the leather brown and dyed black?

I just have too much slop in the heel.  Kyle @ Bakers will be sending them to get a heel clamp installed, so I wont have to deal with a rebuild.  Props to him for helping me out.  I love the oxfords so much though, so comfortable once they break in a bit and start flexing.  We need to establish an Oxford Mafia.  So far its you, Mega and myself.  Maybe Seul will get jumped in at some point ::)
