Tfar has no clue what he´s talking about. evo thread is about evolution of jeans, not about bodies.
Shubs - I do and always think first about something being my personal agenda or whether this is important to the standards of this Forum.
And as far as I´m concerned neither sufu nor mynudies nor stylegeist would allow this amount of non related posts in a thread.
Which is why tfar ´s pointing out that my censorship was prude is totally missing the point. I was giving shubs a hint to minimize her talk about bodies and beauty because it has no real meaning for this particular thread - if she were to post herself right here naked and eating a banana I wouldn´t even care.
And Till, I wish you would undergo the same principles of considering what your posting before you post it. Never expect more of others than you do of yourself.

^ i think sufu moderation isnt very strict, but then again, most of us on the 'FU have been around the forums and arent into really chopping it up as it happens here. Sufu is like a business meeting with flame here and taunts there, but it really doesnt get off topic. *and if it does, damn, moderators are super fast to catch that sheet. and mynudies is friendly on the slight off topics, but then again, there is such a large amount of people on there that the threads never really get slow or congested; it flows rather nicely. Mynudies to me is like the business lunch, friendly but business oriented. And here… its a bit of an office party; which isnt a bad thing, its just not as formal as sufu and mynudies. I think that what i am basically trying to say is that, in my experience the past few years, the threads seem to keep themselves on topic, but the threads are also loaded with thread veterans, so ummm, i guess i'll leave it like that.

No worries, anyone who followed the discussion and your arguments, that were about body consciousness not about being OT, will know what it was about and whether I missed the point, Beatle. The censorship was clearly more than a slight "sorry that's OT in this thread" hint.
All I need to consider before posting is whether I make sense, my spelling and grammar is more or less correct, and that I should consider more often that there are people who care more about thread semantics than content. I promise to do that. I have no mod role and thus no heightened responsibility. Perhaps it is too old a principle to be valid today that those who have more power are held to higher standards and have higher responsibility. Call me old-fashioned.
What I always consider is the tone of my post, even if ignorance and impoliteness bring out my own worst character trait, arrogance. I'm working on that. It's not easy. I haven't found the right tree to sit under yet.
I also leave many things unsaid because the kindest words are often the ones unspoken.
The real reason for the censorship in this case will forever be a mystery. Who knows whether it was because of jealousy, prudery or overzealous political correctness or even just overzealous thread semantics? It doesn't matter. And the original question was somewhat impertinent, which is why I don't mind that it got deleted. Sorry for asking. I should have just said: WTF?! That's what I was thinking but it seemed to crude to say.
The other forums have to be policed much stronger because they are much bigger and have a much more heterogeneous constituency (to put it mildly).
Lastly, I do admit that while I'm a stickler for justice and freedom of speech in general, I'm a particular fiend for it when it concerns people I'm friendly with. Sometimes I think I need to stand by their side when they can very well fend for themselves, which I even know, but I want to stand by their side nonetheless. Preferable to have me as a friend …
I will leave the last word to Beatle and then back to the order of the day in Random Announcements.

Tfar - most of ur posts are just wabi-sabi. while u make it a point to team up with people you like, I make it a point to honor their trust and respect with complete openness. No sense in just being a retard and always saying this is nice and yes ur right.
I have no problem with people giving compliments - and I deeply wish I could give you more - but you don´t post that many images of urself so I barely know what you look like or what your style is or how your jeans faded - so there´s no reason to.I truly care for the integrity of this board - and I hope that when people have an IH jeans they think to sign up here for valuable information, and not just for coffee chit chat.

@shubharamani:
WTF ? DougNg, your comment has disappeared !!!
I decided to leave the thread to Beatle to referee
I'm still on travel status, even though I'm back in NY, so it's hard for me to post. Any replies to my posts wouldn't be responded to in a timely basis, and I hate that
But for those interested parties, I basically said that none of the moderators act on their own, with a few exeptions. Giles asked each one of us personally to be moderators because he trusts that we are fair. In addition to that, any changes or problems encountered are first discussed between the IH staff before anything is done

I have stepped back for a few weeks as moderator because I'm working out of pocket for over a month, but I wanted to weigh in on the censorship issue. Being a plankholder of the forum, I thought this needed to be said
Keep in mind that I don't care for long winded posts. Anything that should be said should be kept short, more words tend to dilute out your point in my eyes. I'll keep this short
I believe we are all allowed our opinions, and this board was created to express them. My personal style is mostly based on looking through other people's eyes before I decide on what works for me. I hope that this forum can help other people the way that it's helped me. Being a moderator is not so much regulating what people say, but rather, how people say it. My job, as well as the rest of the moderation team, is to make sure that no one is being abrasive, rude, or disrespectful.
There are ways to get your point across without offending someone else. Saying "stacks are hideous" is very different from saying "why did you choose to go with stacks, as opposed to going with a cuff or a hem, which would be more flattering". While it is your God given right as a forum member to express yourself, remember that there is someone else on the other side of the computer screen and the point that you are trying to get across would be better received if you act more maturely and politely. Being rude and abrasive only gets the point across that you enjoy the sound of your own voice too much, since no one else is listening.
This isn't directed at anyone, but since the topic has come up, I thought everyone should know why I have that title of "Global Moderator"

Over the weekend, a few friends and myself travelled up to SF to attend a yearly charitable benefit for people with Rett Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rett_syndrome) called Scarlett Fever. Scarlett has had Rett Syndrome since birth and since she was cut from her insurance this 12 year old girl has had no money for treatments which attempt to mitigate some of the worst maladies associated with autism.
What makes the event fucking rad is the fact that it is attended by some pretty badass motorcycle and car clubs from across the nation. Scarlett's father is a member of the Road Lords, which hosted the event and who are a nationwide club out of the San Jose (Califas) area. If you came by the DNA Lounge on 11th and Harrison around 3 PM last Sunday, you definitly saw/heard them. Rat rods, vintage Harley's, and all the early Mercury's I'd never shake a stick at. It was lovely.
I spent the day listening to great Johnny Cash, Elvis Presely, and Dick Dale inspired rockabilly bands playing for free to help raise money for Scarlett. Even though it ain't my cuppa, the wallet chains and trouser cuffing were out in force and I think I may have seen a fellow wearing some boot-cut superblacks! Unfortunatly, I'm not a tough guy and was not about to talk to the man. I do believe I can confidently say that a good time was had by all.

Man, I was just stoked to be there. Talked with a ton of folks about all manner of stuff, even video game design, which was unexpected. Stalag 13's frontman had monstrous, selvedge cuffs (at least 4"-8", but he was a short fellow), so I couldn't pass by that opportunity when he walked past while I was outside.
Really though, dude in IH's might have been the awesome to talk to. I just couldn't bring myself to make time and apply the guts necessary. There's always next year though! And I hope to see more SF folks out in support.

Lando, I felt that way in London and Paris. In a weird way, Iron Heart saves you money – because you don't do trivial "boredom" shopping anymore.
