So Kiya pays 250/ month for the Self Edge thread?..
Actually I believe all threads that are specific to a certain store or brand do. If they don't then their know profile is banned. There is much controversy of this issue from what I have read. Again, these are just my opinions, I am not positive. I'm sure you can inquire with Sufu or do a search on related topics. I am just so glad that Iron Heart has its own forum!!!

sufu has its advantages. you have a base of people who have very similar interests and they are all trying to do, get, buy the same things. Its arguably the largest collection of information on denim and experiences in one place. But i agree, this forum right here is for sure a great place to hear the news from the direct connect.

Plus, IH deserves it's own forum anyways. I love not having to filter through anything for the newest news from the IH community. I wonder when there will be a Los Angeles Self Edge store…..

Look out for SELA in the next few months. Can't wait for the opening party! Glad everyone down South will get to see what all of us in NY and SF already do. Plus, maybe Kiya can spread a little style to a much needed city. Simon - I would say if you want a job at SELA, you better get on Sufu YESTERDAY, learn about raw denim a little bit, and then last…. They wanted $250 per month to start my own thread, I refused as there was already an IH thread, and any sales I gained from having another thread would have taken sales away from Self Edge - net result, no incremental sales and a pissed off Kiya. Didn't make sense to me - end result life ban
That's complete horseshit imo. $250 is daylight robbery, G why did both you and Kiya not think about splitting any cost between you?

i'd say it's pretty fair.
considering how huge sufu is now, they must be on a crazy server now. monthly rate for the domain could easily be $500+.
and as everyone has pointed out, sufu is one of THE archives for denim knowledge. so i think it's smart that kiya (+others) establish their store with updates on sufu.
with the cost of raw denim already being so high, it's highly likely that kiya could get $250/m worth of business from that sufu Selfedge thread alone.Giles, you don't need sufu. you're already the #1 hit on google for 'ironheart'! hahah

I'm on StyleForum mostly for the Alden thread and a lurker on SuFu.
The only other forum worth mentioning is Paneristi.com - a place for Panerai nut jobs. The passion is intense and a strong sense of community. Lots of local and international get togethers happening year round. So much so they created a separate GTG subforum lol.
Part of the reason why I dig IH is the same passion and craziness behind the product. I see many similarities, it just amazes me.
