Samurai Jeans

Well my tripple works are a 33 waist (i have lost weight since buying them) and the thigh is about 12" when I measure it flat and I have a little room in that, the samurais are 11.75" before a soak at size 29 (30" waist) would this be a good size do you think?

Just measured a pair of my slimmet jeans and theyre measuring 11.5 and hugging the thigh, Am I better off with a different cut if my thighs are that big?

either size up 1 or check other cuts/models

… tho', on BiG's 710 chart W29 & 30 got same u/thigh measurements.  if you're getting them @BiG,  call ahead & ask for actual thigh measurement on the pair you're purchasing.

Cheers for the advice guys really apreciate it! I called the guys at BIG, I decided to go for the 21oz S5000VX instead, I know it's a Completley different fit but I've been meaning to grab a pair of these for a while and thought it may be my best option, I went for the size 29 (waist 31.75) anD plan on giving them a hot soak to get 2" of shrinkage out of the waist and an inch back when I break them in! Hope it all turns out ok

Hi Guys! They just arrived and I couldn't be more happy! They're amazing! The thigh is 12" pre soak an is quite snug, how much should this shrink down? Would I be best not hot soaking or even soaking them on myself? Really need advice on what to do with these because I really don't want to ruin them!

In my experience (albiet with Flat Head and not Samurai), if you're worried about them shrinking too much during the soak, then wear them during it. Yes, it's uncomfortable to sit in the tub for an hour in hot jeans, but at least then you know you'll be able to get them back on.

Very much agree with Zwer here, after having done the "bathtub ritual" in my new Flat Heads only a good week ago. Uncomfortable, yes to a degree, esp. in this last case, since those bad boys actually wounded me (knee bends and one spot on the side of my right thigh, as reported in the Flat Head thread). But I also always have found some pleasure in the act. Maybe I have a slight masochistic side, who knows. But it is an initiation sort of thing that immediately makes a serially produced product a very individual thing. Yes, a pair of jeans I've sat in the bathtub with and had them on soaking wet on my body until they eventually dried, that's a VERY personal garment.

So, alone in this context: do it!

Thanks for the replys guys I really appreciate it! heres a post soak fit, I cold soaked them for 2 hours then wore them until dry, and I couldnt be happier with the fit.

Not that it bothers me but I've noticed that the leg twists on my left side slightly is that normal? again I've included a pic below!

yap, legtwist is totally normal mate, so don't worry! you should expect some more shrinkage during the next 3-4 soaks/washes!…

I thought it would be normal to be honest being unsanforized, They came down a full 2 1/2 inches on the inseam, 2" on the waist and 1" on the upper thigh, should I maybe wear them dry again during the next few washes?

Hi all, first post here.  Hoping to get some questions answered about the S003JP.  Been eyeing these for a long while now and a lot of people on sufu/styleforum don't have these or have info on it.

Does anyone on this forum have it?

I only have one other pair of raw which is the apc new cure and therefore it's hard to go off measurements alone - but that's all I have as I cannot walk into BIGsoho and try jeans on…

Hey Jord666, good purchase on getting the 21oz. Post soak fit look spot on. But I thought you might be able to get more shrinkage in a hot soak, feck that for now. Wear it hard and leave it to the next wash. 

Just a little teaser for you how yours will look like in time to come and even better then mine I believe:

I did 2 hot soak and 2 washes in the 9 mths span.

from sufu right?  hi!  just the usual fit questions… the size 26 is closest to my apc new cure according to BIG..
i'm worried about the rise being about 8.5" where my apc is currently 9" i'm scared for that half inch - don't know if my crotch can handle or if i would have to sag a lot.. also  my apc leg opening is 6.5" where as if i get the s003jp hemmed - the leg opening would be around 7". never had a leg opening that big and don't know how it would look or if it would defeat the purpose of a "skinny" tapered jean. the waist is going to be a 26 but i'm currently around waist 28 - worried it won't stretch that 2"

yeah... i'm just rambling but i haven't found the answer to my questions yet.

did  a quick search of s003jp using the search feature and it came up with nothing.  no one here has this model really? or is the search feature not that good?
