Forum Suggestions?

Not a bad idea to expand to a Japanese forum. Very good idea in fact. Some of them might speak English, so we could get a more international conversation going. It is a crying shame that the Russian forum is so hermetic. I mean I would love to see what these guys and gals have to contribute but my Russian is as non-existent as my Japanese. So maybe there could be an exclusively Japanese sub-forum and that would reel in some Japanese members to come and lurk over to the English speaking side. I'd love that.

I agree on the Japanese addition as well! When the Russian area first began I was translating every word of every post. I have since lost interest as there are not many pictures and translating is quite difficult as we all know.

I don´t think that there needs to be a Japanese board..if there´s guys in Japan that wear IH and talk a little english so there´s gotta be millions…lol - they could always post in the regular threads...

There is a Japanese borad, but it is impossible for us (well, me at least) to join up, as you have to enter a load of Kanji characters as part of the security process. Haraki advertises this board on the Japanese board and we do get a lot of hits from Japan, but no-one has yest signed up - or at least I don't think that they have. G

Okay, I know I have brought this up before but is it possible to have a WAYWT (Pictures/ Descriptions ONLY) Thread? As I understand the need for discussion and love the current IH WAYWT Thread, I really think that it would be nice to have a Thread of JUST photos and descriptions of the outfit! Sometime you just want to look at pictures and don't want to read. There is about an average of 2 fit per page on the thread… That is just not enough. Thanks for listening.

I completely agree with pics only and with a brief description of course. WAYWT always goes off on tangents and you end up with very few pics.

If I may be so bold, is it torture to just gloss over and ignore the verbage ? I like the verbage in WAYWT personally. We're all monkey trained now (yes, even me and Chinese-LA-Simon) to stay conscious and not go wayy of course. I don't see a problem with the way it is at all…

It is not a "big deal" but I do not understand why there is such resistance to it?!? Sometime I just want to see pictures and do not want to scroll through verbage to look at pictures. You know when you buy a magazine and you look through it at the pictures quickly without reading it, but then you go back later and get into it? That is how I feel about WAYWT. On the plus side, everyone who loves moving their ranking up can get double the posts when they do their WAYWT for the day. ::)

I actually like looking at some of the previously sold items for reference. Perhaps locking the thread is a better idea so it will be forced to the bottom of the page.

Regarding the WAYWT pictures only page: I'm not sure if the software exists, but what would be ideal is that all pictures inserted into the WAYWT thread automatically get copied over into the pictures-only thread. In addition, this thread could be locked to prevent direct posting of comments.

I don't think this is a good idea. As DrPat said, it's nice to look at pics or measurements of previously sold items. Locking the thread is a good idea though, I will discuss it with Giles and the other mods today.

I agree…sale threads need to stay for a lot of reasons...
Regarding waywt and waywt only pictures..I find it annoying that I have to crosspost or decide where do i want to post my outfit today. in other words - I´d rather people chat about a fit and if posts become derailed mods will clean it up ever once in a while
