Full Metal Jacket. Hard stuff but probably pretty close to reality. From what I hear John Steinbeck had this occupation during the Vietnam war. The piece symbol on one of the guys' vest is the Kubrick kicker.

Will the short sleeve super-black be a lighter weight than the long sleeve?

I would actually prefer something a bit lighter than 16oz for summer wear.

Beatle is sad. Not enough people showed interest. Giles couldn´t justify ordering them….no super black short sleeves...

Sorry folks.  Some of my retailers were interested and obviously some of you guys were stoked.  But the bottom line was that I was going to have to commit to a load of shirts that I was not 100% sure I could shift.  I'd rather invest in stuff that I know will move.  I can still do this, but I need more upfront interest…G

Beats, we might have to start a "Save the SuperBlack SS!!!"…

That makes sense G, we will just have to keep recruiting new IHF members and make this s/s thing happen.

I'll be honest Giles. I've said it before and I was very honest about the Forum T-Shirt being boxy and not the right cut for me.  A short-sleeve Super Black seems oxymoronic and awkward to me. Most customers, if presented with a long-sleeve and short-sleeve Super Black, will go for the long-sleeve.

Shubs - no offense..but the short sleeve shirt has a long tradition - just think of the bowling shirt. it is a fine piece of garment that will actually get a lot of attention in the near future. I predict a short sleeve trend in the fashion industry. Why not make a trend instead of just following it ?

Absolutely none taken (offense). But Beatle…the question to ask is -- are you in the majority or minority ? If you're in the minority, then it's not a good biz decision for Giles. I don't really know the answer to that question -- but my hunch is that you are in the minority in preferring a short-sleeved SuperBlack shirt. My theory is, if customers can only buy ONE and are posed with both -- they're gonna choose the long-sleeve. And most people will choose only one SuperBlack shirt. Just my hunch, that's all...
