What's your favorite Beer?
-
i have found that if I drink Belgian beers exclusively, I enjoy them. But once I deviate from them and then try to go back, I have a strong dislike of the flavors. It takes awhile for me to readjust my palette. I guess this could be said for any beer, but I really notice it with belgian ales. Not sure what it is

It's because Belgians are foul and unpleasant. Their noxiousness takes a while to numb your judgment.
Oh, wait. You were talking about beer. Um, never mind…

9.5%….sweet baby Jesus! With that alcohol content it should be called The Rapist, not Trappist.
Looks damn tasty.
From my experience, there seems to be a sweet spot in central/western Europe which makes amazing beer. Czech beer would have to be my favourite, but the Poles, Germans, and of course Belgian peasants makes excellent stuff too.
Feel free to send one my way, Seul!

Just came back from a trip to Prague (Czech Republic). Tried Pilsener Urquell, Krusovice, Staropramen, Gambrinus and a few others (e.g. Velkopopovický Kozel, a dark beer). All were flat except for the Pilsener Urquell and the Velkopopovický Kozel. I was really disappointed. Belgian beer is like Iron Heart. Once you tried it you will change your perspective and your standards will rise to a ridiculously high level making it impossible to bear the things you once liked.
Thanks for your wonderful products Belgium!
