My mom and I are Bill Maher worshippers. Now are you convinced LandoCal ? Bill Maher is my hero ! I would turn straight for him !

Yes I am completely convinced and Shubs, it takes a lot more than a lit "Reefer" talk to offend me. I was just saying. And I used to watch Bill Mahr like crazy but have not caught him in the last year or so. Funny stuff but sometimes he is a bit out there even for me.

That's beautiful. I love snow. Where do you live?

I remember waking up at my grandma's house in Switzerland. She was living on a slope (it's Switzerland) across from Liechtenstein overlooking the Rhine valley. Huge windows, basically the front side of the house was glass, and then when you wake up in the morning and you pull the blinds up everything is white with a good foot of snow. Amazing. I miss that. And my grandmother. 😞

Yeah- if ur on vacation or skiing - snow is beautiful..nothing like fresh powder snow and sunshine on the Alpes..but if u shovel the drive way 3 months in a row and can´t use ur bike to get to work - it becomes a pain in the ass

I thought you lived in Germany, no? Was it that bad there this year? Three months of snow? That's why I'm asking.

I think this was the best winter in years. i really like the snow/dry air/below zero temperatures. Much better then the wet and windy winters of last couple of yrs.

I can wholeheartedly (sorry) recommend Hole Hearted, as well as the other beers that Oakleaf produce, having sampled a few.
Hole Hearted is the pick of the bunch though.

It is a gorgeous day in the bay area! We don't get these too often this time of the year. Kinda waiting on my showers to come back. But while the sun came out to play, I'll kick it!

Something that really surprises me: A lot of the members on IH forum aren't from the US, but everyone here speaks (and writes) English quite well! It's kinda embarassing how most Americans ONLY know how to speak English….totally ignorant of other languages. I'm pretty fortunate to know how to speak Chinese as well, (some of my Chinese friends can't speak it!) as well as being coerced into learning French for 4 years.

Simon, I'm one of those American ignoramuses you talk about and I'm ashamed of it. I can't speak my native language "Tamil" either…though I can understand it quite well. Not knowing a foreign language is something I regret. Here's another thing I regret : Not being able to play a musical instrument. I'm basically just an average fuck who got kinda lucky in life.

Shubz, it's never too late to learn how to play an instrument!

                                        OR learn a new language!

Take a course at your local community college. Classes cost less than a pair of jeans usually and it's a great way to keep on expanding your mind.

And shubz, you probably know more about computer software than most people. Don't say you're just an average person! Everyone is unique, just like everyone else! (:

Thanks for your encouragement Simon. You're right…it's never too late. I just need to get off my butt and sign up for a class at Laney College (the local community college). They teach plenty of foreign languages to intermediate levels (including Chinese !!).

i always like seeing this being said, just like the 'everyone is special' and 'everyone is a winner' type saying. because if everyone is, no one is. hahaha, i love it. 😉
