So I celebrated July 4th by… washing my 666s. 40C, 45 minute Bronners soak in the tub with agitation in the middle, followed by a warm rinse. The true 39" of the size 38 had always been roomy on me and I'd thought perhaps I would have been better off trying to stretch out a 36. To my surprise, these shrunk quite a bit in the wash:

I took a picture just so everyone wouldn't think I was crazy. Yep, these clearly measure 37" now. I'm certain I've measured these before and they really were 39". I'm quite pleased by this development, but I'm a bit puzzled since everyone says these are supposed to have minimal shrinkage. I only lost a half inch in the length.

I'm sure, but I'm quite pleased that they're probably going to end up at 38" instead of 39". The sizing worked out in the end after all!

So you'll be patching that knee quite often then? Given how hard you wear your jeans ;).

you'd be surprised how tough that stuff is. It wears better than a lot of 14oz denim in my experience. Should see me through to a new pair.

Updated evo courtesy of a chocolate Lab named 'Phoebe' that decided to charge suicidally across the road to jump all over me. Much to the embarrassment of her owner. Unfortunately, before I could grab her collar, she dashed across the road again. Got hit by a car (which stopped for 5 seconds). Luckily, she wasn't hurt.

I can still cuff on boots, but the stacks look better on sneakers… Win/ win imo. Most of the flare down the knee is gone.

not sure how long i've got them for now.. but i've finally broken into them. the combs have finally set, stacks as well. looks alot better than i first got them. feel so much more comfortable and confident in them now.
