Ian had the choice of spending until the start of the next leg (14th April) in Oakland, or flying home for a week. Now, I am not judgemental, but he decided to come back to Gosport and spend some time with his mates, I think that was a good call. He has been away from here for 8 months, so we had a little drink with him tonight. Tomorrow night will be a mega-curry session at our house, I expect things to get messy in every sense of the word….

Oh, by the way. He wore his Geo bracelet almost continually between Qingdao and Oakland through some of the roughest stuff us mere mortals can not even start to imagine. For one 12 hour stretch he averaged 15 knots over the ground and peaked at 29 knots. The evo on his bracelet is awesome. Pics (before curry) tomorrow…...
