I've been playing the idea of wescos, and those look almost like I would've specced them.
Could you post specs for me please. and better pics.
Is that fire leather, 705 soles single modsole and normal heel? which last, and did you get them from Big Black Boots.
Oh Yeah, how's the sizing? did you get custom, or normal size?

I originally ordered the black fire leather but the tannery backordered it so I decided to give the burgundy a shot and I'm pleasantly surprised. I ordered these directly from Wesco, specs are as follows:

That really is a lovely color. Traditionalists wouldn't agree, but it's much better than black, I think.

Makes sense. I think you did a great job of balancing the classic look of engineer boots, while putting a distinctive twist on them. They really are nice.
If I were you, I'd be wearing them, 100+ weather be damned.
