If you can you should make a detour to the Saint-Sixtus abbey of Westvleteren en route to De Panne and visit the brewery to drink the local Trappist, you won't regret it!

It's okay, I am solaced by the fact that last Thursday, Friday and Saturday my evenings where 750ml of Abt 12, Delirium Nocturnum, and Westmalle Tripel to celebrate my graduation ceremonies.  I discovered that the Whole Foods near my house in Philly sells 750ml for $10 and the fuss I made forced my fiance to roll her eyes and leave.  She also made fun of me this morning saying that I was not allowed to make a fuss about beers any time I go for a lunch with my boss….

$10 is a pretty good deal considering for just 330ml I have to pay $15 here in Ottawa at the only pub that sells it  :-[.

From the local Tatton Brewery, Ruck and Maul. Porter, very nice so far.

It was the brewery's 2nd anniversary yesterday, went for a visit:

£5.00 to get in, but two free pints (at £2.50 a pint). Still have no idea how the Galactic Empire (Knutsford branch) can charge £2.39 for a 500ml bottle though…

If you can get a bottle of Chimay GR 2009 then DO IT! Hands down best beer I ever tried. Its complexity is mind-boggling.
