I found a sz 48 Flat head denim shirt..What would that be considered?  Hopefully its a XL or XXL

Well considering they are the go to pants for men after jeans and no one here has a pair i cannot see how they will not sell out instantly.

For my retailers to make a half decent margin, it looks like I would have to retail them in the region of USD360.  The cost is currently coming very close to the IH-634S.  Personally I have an issue with that as a target price, so unless we can do something about the cost without compromising quality, then I'm going to struggle to justify pulling the trigger.  At USD360, they'll sell, but extremely slowly.  I'd love to be convinced I'm wrong…

I'd say that analysis is spot on.  Personally, I don't think chinos are going to be a strong seller, even at a lower price.

I've actually got the fabric samples out on my desk as I was looking at them earlier.  The fabric is superb, so I am keen to do them.  But unless I can get the cost down (this is the first time I have ever gone to Haraki and said "cost too high, what can we do?), my money is better invested in something that my gut tells me will sell quicker.  I have learnt the hard way, don't let your own taste get in the way of pragmatism…

Hardly any cost reduction.  Construction essentially the same, just a little less fabric….

shorts don't really reduce the cost; the labor is in the top block and the material cost savings are negligible.  My guess is that shorts would be even slower sellers, especially at that price.

The fabric sounds fantastic and I know you've got the best possible cut there is; like I said they are the next go to trouser after jeans for all men.  So I don't know what your gut is telling you but those are the facts.  And I agree a better price will easily shift Iron Heart chino's out the door faster than you can say win win.
