White's Boots

here's a glamour shot of the dress brown in new form.
heres a pic of it slightly more used

Not sure I understand what you mean by mid sole shaping into a point. you mean the shape of the toebox? Its anything but pointy
-
I gotcha. Whites has an option to double the mid sole i believe. I did a half composite, might go for a full sole when it comes time to resole them.

Hmm, after looking at the different leather patches at white's webpage, the dress brown is very close to black, not a traditional "brown" really, I'm leaning a bit towards the distressed brown, which is lighter, but is this leather treated with anything that makes it less durable? anyone tried that leather?

its really dark. When I was deciding on my leather, I was going between Dress brown, dress black and black chromexcel. The dress leathers were more scratch resistant, and seemed a bit more durable, but they lacked character. That might have changed over time, but they just seemed ordinary when new. Thats why I went with cxl. its a tough leather, but it seems to be more adaptive, and take on characteristics quicker and easier. If I was buying Whites for a pure utility work boot, I probably would not go with cxl.

That's what happens with "collabs."
I put it up for people who don't like to wait and can afford not to.

Good point on the collab. Although I personally would not go for a collab if it didnt offer anything different or unique. Those are just run of the mill While's with a brand stamped on the insole. Awesome boots, nonetheless, but I dont see the value in $200 mark up. But, if you would have asked me at week 3 if I would want to pay an extra $200 to get them in a few days, I might have been singing a different song
