Awesome post Jii. I've always wanted to go to Iceland but the reputed cost of the place puts me off a little. Looks stunning though.
It wasn't that expensive, I'd say pretty much like where I live. The car rental was the only cost that I found expensive, the accommodation, food in restaurants and even the alcohol was mostly moderately priced. This of course is totally dependent on what you're used too, for americans or central europeans it certainly is a bit expensive.

Since Iceland's economy collapsed following the banking sector crisis, that may have changed. Maybe now is the best time to go?

^ Too true, Scandinavian pricing can be a shock to visitors. I went to Norway a few years ago, and was horrified that Guinness was £12 ($17) per pint ??? Local beer (Hansa?) was a far more reasonable £9 a pint.

Went to see this movie today, it was the snizzle, action packed.
What I wore todays
Then went looking for a new vaccum cleaner, our old one was pakaru - broken.

There is, but I don't intend to spend the whole day in a pub. Most… but not all. I'll be dropping in at the Potteries Museum later, well that's the plan.
