Thanks for the heads up FH 😉

You need to move out here Chris… 😉

Yeah, my wife is well aware of how I feel about Houston weather.  Not gonna let me move anytime soon, though…

Used to have those Oni's… Bought them 2ndhand... Fit was too wide for my likings, though... Fabric was quite amazing!.. Those were the older model, I guess, as I remember them costing something like 580 back then (new)...

Exact same opinion as Seul. I had Oni Red and Oni Blue, both were pretty wide, and the fabric was amazing, a bit like Samurai Jin denim, also a bit wide like the Jin cut.

If I had to pick one pair of none Iron Heart Jeans, I would go with the Samurai S5000VX in 27oz, just because they're insane, and you'll get almost $200 change back for beer  😃

don't buy any jeans nerk, put the money away & appreciate the denim you have now.  when your current rotation is beat to sh!t invest in a new pair.

although i have a stock pile of sh!t, if i could do it over i would buy less & appreciate more.  having too much stuff kind of makes you numb or desensitized to the beauty of the denim goods & the craftsmanship which goes into them.

Absolute sage like advice MM, and as soon as Iron Heart stop making stuff that I simply must have, I will surely follow it  😶

for 17oz or 24? You mean US EXCHANGE?  I'm near NYC, big would carry anyway right?
I think I have to go with ai-002, the color and denim looks insane, in a weird way

QFT. I go along with this 100%, I need to stop buying more and wear what I have. The trouble is, IH make so many fantastic products that are limited runs :(.

For 24 oz. nerk, I use XE for foreign conversion and that was the US price it gave me for 68,000.00 Yen.
I got my S5000VX 24 oz. from Blue and Green in NY so I'm hoping Gordon gets these in.
If you're close to NYC go there and check out the store. 🙂

I like this cut because it's more fitted in the seat and thighs, not familiar with the AI cut so I'm really looking
                      forward to those.

                          Perfectly put, Sir!

I'm consistently puzzled by the number of people who appear to worship at the altar of "fecked" and yet admittedly buy more stuff than they could "feck" in a decade or six unless they employed a servant of similar build to do it for them (any job offers hereby considered…)

Only addressing elephants in rooms and pulling combs... don't mean no harm, surely we can safely debate without tip-toeing too much?

And whilst I'm making myself unpopular, what exactly does "badass" mean?

Your friendly unreconstructed socialist with champagne tastes and white cider funds ( just realised that I may have to purloin yer tag line MM).

Much love and respect to all (genuinely).

This advice is the best you could give and quite wise, unfortunately, I am a sick person with impulse controll problems and buying shit makes me feel good(perceived) in reality your advice is how a normal person should live. Normal my be relative but "I ain't normal" either way

Nerk from the looks of the Boots u have posted on ebay I'd say u are both sick and have great taste.

Badass, that'll be me even in god dang malljeans.  (well, really how I translate it is that they are trying to say to each other that they are tough looking, being really badass takes just more than clothes, even if they are IH. Usually this term is so hilarious in this contex here that it makes me laugh)

And we usually can debate pretty civilized. Sometimes younger folks just need their heads straightened.

Can't disagree with your sentiment Costanza, I think most times though the definition of "fecked" is in the eye of the beholder. I've been rotating the same 2 pairs of jeans for 18 months now, and they're still not "fecked" in my opinion, I see other guys who seriously feck their denim in 6 months.

For me, this should only apply to denim, and similar fabrics though. Most of my shirts and jackets I like to keep nice and crisp, because I really don't want to have to replace them, and in some cases because I can't replace them.

I like your thinking Costanza. I do think most people with runaway spending habits (not just on here) are doing themselves a disservice by not truly breaking their clothing in and revealing the true beauty of the fabrics and cutting. Specifically with IH, this stuff takes a while to yield best results and doesn't give it up easily like Samurai or TFH.

I'm not trying to 'feck' my clothing in the sense of reducing it to scraps in the shortest time possible. I want long wear from my garments - denim included - and believe in looking after it with simple common-sense maintenance so that what it reveals in time is how I move and live, not how quickly I can put a hole in the knee or back pocket.

With one wash jeans, who actually washes them and how are they washed/soaked/dryed, is there an industry standard..?

Also what's the point of one wash, why not just sell it raw
