just a guess but as these effectively shrink to fit I presume G is wearing a M to show how a L may look after soaking?

white outside stitching & that brighter blue fabric makes this stand out a great deal from the old version.

I think the new wabash will remain a lot darker over a longer period of time than the old wabash ever did as my experiene is that the brown overdye used to stop the bleeding wears off rather quickly, so in this light I would say the new wabash is actually darker (hope this makes sense) …
