The SD has a certain formality (even dandyness perhaps) that the work boot lacks. I'm a sucker for a toe cap so it was a no brainer for me. Both great though.

man, i keep coming back to this image.  sexy.  How has the break in been?  My boots on order are pretty close in build specs as yours, except they are Smoke Jumpers, 8" and the BH last.

Dude, very little discomfort. They are quite roomy in the toe box (compared to RW iron ranger if that helps).

what is a farmer-rancher from whites boots? is it a smoke jumper? or a bounty hunter?

Someone please enlighten me too. What are the differences between farmer rancher, smoke jumper, bounty hunter, work boot, and semi dress. They look relatively similar to me.

As far as I know, the bounty hunter is a last, so there isnt a specific bounty hunter model, per se.  You can have a semi dress built with bounty hunter last, swing last, standard etc…  The Bounty hunter might be considered the "standard last" in the semi dress line though, but I cant confirm that.  It gets confusing.  Smoke jumper is also a model, and you have other options as far as design goes, like height etc...The Semi Dress is a static 5" height.  I think the work boot is basically the Smoke jumper, but with a block heel, and maybe a specific last, but Im not sure.  This is how I understand it at least, Im sure there are others who can be more specific.

an extremely long 8 weeks came to a close this morning.  Better quality pics and fit pics this weekend.  Fit is spot on, the -1/4" heel makes the arch fucking perfect.
