      @bagley920:

I think everyone's skin is just different Finn. I break out whenever I use an electric razor, and only with an electric razor. I have no problem with a standard blade and I didn't have any breakouts at all after using the safety razor for the first time ever.

I read somewhere that has to do with the bacteria that grows in electric shavers. People have different responses to different shavers. After I read about all the stuff that grows in them and the recommended process to clean them (it's a pain in the ass), I switched to disposable razors

Not sure how well they work, but when I did have an electric, I had a cleaning system that I would use after every time so I hope bacteria wasn't the issue.

Yeah, I remember those with the built in cleaning system. They came out after all the studies came out about how much gross shit grows in electric razors

I think the cleaning process involved soaking just the heads in 80% isopropyl alcohol after every use for 30-60 mins, rinsing with water, and then letting it dry for four hours

Never made a lot of sense to me since I have 5 minutes before leaving the house…

My both electric razors are water washable…

And if I wet shave my throatarea against the grain, I will deff. get some "pimples". So Finn are you shaving against the grain? Just a thought

I wet shave with a straight razor every day. The trick to not getting rashes when shaving is to do it every day, or at least often. I highly recommend an open razor - probably the best looking tool youl'll ever own.

Can't find a body/ health thread but I woke up at 7am today to go get a plethora of blood work done. This should be interesting…

Just shaved for the first time. Def need to get some better shaving cream but it wasn't as difficult as I imagined it would be. It's actually easier than any blade I've ever used, and obviously much sharper. I think I'm gonna like this alot. Can anyone recommend a good shaving cream, brush, etc. I've got a razor and blades so far.

and I only knicked myself in 3 places the first time

On the modern front i'd go with Clinique's Cream shave applied with a good badger brush and for afters Lab Series Razor Burn Relief Ultra. On the more trad front look for Mitchell's Wool Fat.

                                    Hello all ,

I'm sure most guys hate shaving , well I switched to a brush , safety razor , bowl and cream or soap-
around 3 years ago . Never regretted it . The last year , I learnt how to use a straight razor ,
takes patience and discipline , but feels brilliant when you get it right .

Unfortunately I broke my left elbow last week , so no straights for a while .

I really enjoy the Trafalgar line  . Canned foam/goo , gillitte, and others has propane

In Germany there are drugstore´s called DM and they carry pretty good  products for a reasonable price!
I buy a lot of natural cosmetics there:
                                          Shower Gel - Vanilla/Mandarine

                                          Shampoo - Aloe Vera/Hibiskus

                                          Macadamia bodybutter

                                          • a lot more!!!
For my fresh tattoos I only use:
Heile Heile Tattoo Creme (not available at DM)

Everything is suitable for vegans and for most persons who suffer from an allergy.
