Very much love the updates. When the lovely countryside and "olde British architecture" puts me in mind of Christie/Durbridge, then your nuke testing area series absolutely recalls "The Avengers", one of my all-time great TV series.

Paula & Giles as the denim version of Mrs. Emma Peel and John Steed, now ain't that an idea?

Keep your jeans on–-and let nothing come in between you and the denim !

LOL, thanks boys!  The Avengers brings back so many memories!  I think we could swap roles - me as Steed, and G would make a great Emma Peel (can you picture it?)

I know I should post more - must try harder  😞

Anyway, here’s me this evening in the WTs looking at the wisteria outside our house, it’s so lovely.

Great evening mood, and that very stylish arc. Utterly British again, a little like Bath, I find.

Now for that denim revamp of the Avengers. Love the cross-dressing idea you have there, Paula. That does add a somewhat kinky 2010's touch to this vintage Brit TV favourite. How about a Mr. Peel for you and a Mrs. Steed for Giles? I must admit I have a little difficulty picturing Giles as Emma, though her wit and sense of ironic reply he absolutely does have!

A few pics from my short trip to Westgate-on-Sea, in Kent - family home since I was 11 yrs old.  Setting off from Gosport.

Arrived in sunny Westgate two and a half hours later, nice cup of tea then a quick walk down to the beach

Jaz seemed pleased to see me again

Very civilized, they have set up a bar inside at the front of the cinema, on the piano, complete with buxom (and very friendly) barmaid.

This is who we came to see.  Was hilarious - we had a great time.

Apologies for lack of posts but the WT jeans have really done nothing more adventurous than visit the office every day for the past week (oh yes and a couple of exciting trips to the supermarket).  We have a holiday weekend in the UK, everyone was hoping the weather would pick up but in Gosport it’s stayed grey, damp and cold.  May is a wonderful month in the garden, but the weather has been so grim we’ve hardly ventured outside for the past few weeks.  Quick look around today, peonies starting to flower  🙂

                                          Pretty viburnum

So, I insisted we did something this weekend to take us away from our laptops for a couple of hours, and this is pretty much on our doorstep

Pic below is of the cosy parlour at the front of the house.  Charles Dickens was born in the room above.

Didn’t take long to look round, the house is very small, kitchen/scullery in basement, two living rooms, two bedrooms, two attic rooms for servants (even “lower middle-class" families like Mum and Dad Dickens would have had 1 or 2 servants, because they could hire street urchins/orphans for a few pennies a week  :o)  Very interesting  🙂
