I usually ask anyone sending me stuff to either mail it to my work address, or let me know as close to exactly when to expect it. My mailman can get a little "creative" with where he puts things, he's a nice guy and definitely not dishonest, but some of his hiding places are just plain bizarre. For instance, last year I spent a good 40 minutes prying a shirt from behind Tommy's play house. God only knows how he had got it there in the first place.

Well my usual mailman is the best bloke in the world… But since he stopped working because of a fecked knee, there have been a slew of temps and replacements and boy oh boy do I want to meet the guy who agrees on hiring this collection of illiterate chavs, drunks and basically guys who wouldn't be able to get a palstic duck out of a dry pond...

I hope I can find some reason why so I can avoid it next time. I never once had a problem with this in the US in what 15 years of online buying. It has already happened 2 times here.

Small consolation, but at least the Loonie is fairly strong of late. Extra charges would hurt more if you took a significant hit on the exchange rate. But, like I said, small consolation…

Turned out it was a "handling fee" because they looked at a priority EMS package.

Yea it just seems crazy because they valued it at $48 and charged $25 in fees. I mean if it was really $48 I would in fact be pissed.

Iron heart has ruined my life. Went shopping for a couple of casual shirts for work and all I could find was shirts of shit quality or overpriced shit quality and returned home empty handed. I certainly don't feel like paying 100 € or more for a designer brand shirt made in China and all the cheaper ones are of such shoddy quality that that alone turns me off from buying.
I also realized I haven't bought any clothes from local stores for a looooong time because nothing that's on offer appeals to me.
So it's back to waiting for the new arrivals at IHUK for me.
