yeah I tried to get my daughters into no country for old men but the wife wasn't too excited about that

you're right though the pixar stuff is almost universally great. lots of old stuff too that captures their attention, chitty chitty bang bang is great, man they made films different back then, long scenes, slow burn, they're a nice change of pace sometimes

I love animals and wouldn't want any creatures harmed in any way but….
Badgers are protceted - some people would (mostly farmers) have them culled because of bovine tv. well I would well and truely cull the fuckers that dug up my lawn last night. Tree huggers say 'oohh isn't it lovely to have those beautiful animals in your garden' no it fuckin aint. An Englishmans green and stripey lawn is his castle so anything that interferes with it needs both barrels up its arse.

Off Topic: Alcatraz, the quote on your avatar, is it from an LCD Sound System song? Perhaps one covered by Franz Ferdinand on the soundtrack to Fully Flared?

Hi Meg, you're a few decades out - 'set the controls for the heart of the sun' is a pretty weird psychedelic track off Pink Floyds 1968 album 'a saucerful of secrets'. I like the phrase 'cos it's sort of gung ho Dan Dare stuff or more recently Buzz Lightyears ' to infinity and beyond'.

Actually, now that I explain this it sounds a bit wank!!

Cheers man, LCD SS must have "borrowed it" from Pink Floyd  😉

… a pretty weird psychedelic track

Doesn't that describe basically all Pink Floyd songs?

Some guy just brought a package to my house… Apparently he found it on the market place?????? It was just a record but this doesn't bode well for my Dupont pens and new knife and IHSH-34 I have incoming, or the BdP jacket...

Why oh why is my regular mailman's knee fucked up... Maybe I should pay for his surgery...  😠 😠 😠

Definitely… But the last couple of weeks I've received so many letters clearly intended for someone else... It's seriously worrying me right now... I wanna get hold of the mailman (no idea who it is these days) but eg. today we received NO MAIL... Well apart from the market place getting my mail...  😠 😠 😠

remind me of the following, last year summer stand-in postal guy had some sign for stuff for me, instead of moving his fat ass to the door, he just throw in some notifications cards in the mailbox, caught the fellow and ask whats wrong and he came up with something like" oh sorry I'm in a hurry need to go to a party in a hour" . After this he had lots of time to go to parties….

I usually ask anyone sending me stuff to either mail it to my work address, or let me know as close to exactly when to expect it. My mailman can get a little "creative" with where he puts things, he's a nice guy and definitely not dishonest, but some of his hiding places are just plain bizarre. For instance, last year I spent a good 40 minutes prying a shirt from behind Tommy's play house. God only knows how he had got it there in the first place.

Well my usual mailman is the best bloke in the world… But since he stopped working because of a fecked knee, there have been a slew of temps and replacements and boy oh boy do I want to meet the guy who agrees on hiring this collection of illiterate chavs, drunks and basically guys who wouldn't be able to get a palstic duck out of a dry pond...

Brought the eight-year old to the pediatrician today.  Half smiling:  "You better start saving now for the massive orthodontic work that this kid is going to need."  So I have that going for me, which is nice.
