    Latest addition to my collection: Shiny Lone Wolf / Buzz Rickson Wireman, fresh into Bootsville via ebay Sweden. Real bargain, by the way. Ah, the joys of the world wide web!

        I was rather surprised - there was no bidding frenzy. Yes, you should have bought them  😉

                        just saw this over at superfuture.com…

                        that´s what a dog (four-year-old Chocolate Lab) did to the owners Mister Freedom Road Champs (Retail $ 949.95)... 😶

                        @attackwithstones:

                        Yes.  He ate everything you do not see, including the top strap buckle.  He hasn't passed too much of the leather yet, so we will see.  We might be going to the vet tomorrow.  Labs are well known for eating crazy things and then passing them.  I hope he finishes passing it all tomorrow.

                        I was and still am beyond angry and sad.  I was freaking out so bad Saturday night.  I had to go into my basement, take out a hammer, and beat the hell out of a 2x8 until it shattered apart.  It didn't help.  My eyes were filled with tears all night.

                          Maybe I'm an asshole but I don't feel sorry for the guy one bit.  Way more concerned about his dog, hope he's ok.

                          Was he crying over the boots or the dog?  Sounds like the boots…  if so, seriously?

                            nope you ain´t an asshole…but since it looks like the dog is doing fine i´d also be a bit pissed.
                            on the other side it´s his own fault and this tells us that whoever owns a dog that eats all kinda stuff...don´t lose sight of your boots  🙂

                                I keep anything of value out of range of my cats for just this reason. The last thing I need is one of them sharpening their nails on my Aero

                                    That story is awesome.  My dog has gone after a pair or two, but no offense, you have to be pretty negligent to let stuff like that happen to that degree.

                                      This is true.

                                      As for the rest of it, I'm sorry dude lost his boots, but c'mon- it's a four year old Lab.  They're smart and imminently trainable.  If you haven't broken your dog by now of bad habits like this, you deserve what you get.  I'm definitely more worried about the dog eating all that leather, glue and the buckle.

                                      Geez, it's not like it's a cat or something.  Those bastards will destroy things just because you didn't scratch their ears right.  Vindictive little creatures.

                                        Ok… I'm on the verge of buying a pair of 20-30 years old Tricker's Veldtschoen boots... In immaculate condition... So fucking stoked...

                                          And bought… Came to 200 quid... Could've bought new ones for the same money but then I'd rather have Tricker's  😛
